Abstract

This research aims to explore the influence of the use of WhatsApp social media on students' learning discipline in the context of Islamic Religious Education subjects. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The research sample consisted of high school students who actively used WhatsApp and were enrolled in Islamic Religious Education subjects.Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical techniques and correlation analysis to examine the relationship between WhatsApp usage variables and students' level of learning discipline. The research results show that there is a significant negative correlation between the use of WhatsApp and student learning discipline in Islamic Religious Education subjects. This indicates that the higher the level of WhatsApp use, the lower the level of student learning discipline.
