In submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors declare that:
- They are authorised by their co-authors to enter into this arrangement.
- The work described has not been formally published before, except in abstract form or as part of a published lecture, review, thesis, or overlay journal.
- That it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere,
- That its publication has been approved by all authors and by the responsible authorities - tacitly or explicitly - of the institution where the work has been carried out.
- They secure the right to reproduce any material that has been published or copyrighted elsewhere.

Copyright
Authors publishing with "Al-Athfaal: Journal of Early Childhood Islamic Education" agree to the following terms:
- Authors retain copyright and grant the journal first publication rights with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution Licence (CC BY-SA 4.0) that allows others to share the work with acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
- Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the journal work (e.g., posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with acknowledgement of initial publication in this journal.
- Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their websites) before and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of the published work.

Open Data and Publishing and Sharing
This Journal Software strives to maximise the replicability of research published in it. Authors are thus required to share all data, code, or protocols underlying the research reported in their articles. Exceptions are permitted but must be justified in a written public statement accompanying the article.
Data sets and software must be permanently stored and archived in appropriate, trusted, public, or domain-specific repositories (see http://service.re3data.org repositories and/or software such as GitHub, GitLab, Bioinformatics.org, or equivalent). The corresponding persistent identifier to be developed (e.g. DOI, or other) of the data set should be included in the data or software resources section of the article. References to data sets and software will also be included in the article's reference list with the DOI (if available). If there is no domain-specific data repository, authors should deposit their data sets in a general repository such as ZENODO, Dryad, Dataverse, or others.
Small data can also be published as data files or add-on packages to research articles, however, authors should prefer in all cases deposition in a data repository.
