Abstract

Ab This study examines how audiovisual media affects the recognition of Hijaiyah letters among students at RA ASY-SYI`AR Partimbalan in early childhood. The study involves a sample of thirty children in the age range of four to six years, who are divided into the control and experimental groups using a quasi-experimental design. Experimental group participated in activities with audiovisual support, while control group used traditional educational approaches. Both pre- and post-tests were used to collect data to determine the recognition levels of Hijaiyah letters. The results showed that the experimental group's ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters was much better than the control group. Audiovisual media improved engagement and retention and provided a multisensory learning experience that was beneficial for young learners. The potential for supporting language learning and literacy skills in early childhood education through the integration of audiovisual resources is highlighted by this study. According to the research, teachers should think about using this kind of media to improve student learning environments and early childhood education. It is advised that more research be done to examine the long-term impacts and possible scalability of this strategy in various educational contexts.
